Hiring Process
At Park Lane Nannies, we believe families in Wake Forest deserve the very best care. To provide trusted, high-quality childcare, we follow a careful and proven hiring process to build our team of exceptional professionals.
We deeply value the nannies we work with and are committed to supporting them just as much as we support our families. By sharing resources and guidance on industry standards and best practices in in-home childcare, we help create partnerships built on respect and understanding. Our approach ensures every placement is a long-lasting, meaningful match that feels like family.
We can’t wait to meet you and begin this journey together.
1. In-Depth Application
All candidates begin with our detailed application. Only applicants with proven childcare experience and professionalism are invited to move forward to an interview with our team.
2. Preliminary Interview
Each candidate participates in a one-on-one interview with a member of our team. During this conversation, we assess professionalism, childcare knowledge, communication skills, and overall experience working with children.
3. Reference Checks
Candidates advancing in the process must provide at least three professional childcare references. We personally contact each reference to discuss the candidate’s reliability, skills, and overall performance.
4. Background Checks & Additional Screening
Before being matched with a family, every candidate completes a comprehensive background check, motor vehicle record check, employment verification, and social media screening. This final step ensures families feel complete confidence in their new caregiver.
Perks & Resources
At Park Lane Nannies, we strongly believe in supporting and advocating for our nannies. We encourage all client families to provide meaningful benefits that recognize the value of their caregiver, which may include:
- Guaranteed hours
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- Sick and personal days
- Annual bonuses
- Health insurance or a health insurance stipend (optional)
Guaranteed hours mean you can count on a reliable paycheck every week of the year. Families are made aware that this commitment ensures stability for their nanny. Even if a family travels, shortens a workday, or doesn’t require care for any reason, the nanny is still paid for the full contracted hours.
Competitive, Legal Pay
We advise our clients on current market rates and fair compensation for the required duties of each position. We believe that nannies and caregivers should be treated as professionals in their field, and every Flower City Nannies position comes with legal pay via payroll.
Work Agreement
Gone are the days of miscommunication around time off, duties, or benefits. Each placement comes with a signed and dated (by all parties) work agreement that includes all pertinent information. The agreement includes job details such as rate, schedule, benefits, and duties, so that your relationship is one of clarity and confidence.
